Rhôd 2010

Picture
Bargod 2010 (Wool, corn and fishing line)
Rhôd is an annual art event that promotes Urban Rural dialogue deep in the Carmarthen countryside.

The river Bargod links the old corn mill, Melin Glonc with the Cambrian Wool mill, now the National Wool Museum of Wales and brought prosperity to the valley during the 19th and early 20th century.

Whilst created from local sheep’s’ fleeces and corn kernels and rooted in Welsh culture Bargod references the legend of Jason and the Golden Fleece.
